I mentioned at UATX that one American institution that has done so much to promote human flourishing is Fisk University, whose founders and graduates agreed that "Without the participation of our most talented citizens in government leadership and nuanced policy debate, we get stupid decisions." There's a way that the conversation about those Americans who had to fight extra hard for the "the rights of the people to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness" ought to be everywhere and not only the left.
