Is college right for everyone? Dr. Bill Pink has wrestled with the answer. He’s the outgoing president of Grand Rapids Community College – and the incoming President of Ferris State University.

As a basketball player and coach turned community college and university president, he’s worked hard to make higher education work much better for more people.

I’m gonna ask him a tough question, given his job: Is college right for everyone?

Are there better paths for different students?

A lot of us have kids or friends grappling with this decision. And we want them all to succeed.
